Pleased to be invited to take part in filming yesterday for a future programme of BBC’s The One Show about Grahame Hurd-Wood’s Portrait Project to portray every resident in St Davids. Eleven artists working in The Goat Street Gallery, St Davids produced all these portraits in a six hour session on Thursday 7th August. Great day, great company, great art mixed with lots of sunshine and amazing views of the Cathedral. Keep an eye on my Blog – I’ll update as soon as I know time and date of broadcast.

TAG exhibition “Infinitely Nine” running in the Chate Room at King Street Gallery, Carmarthen from Friday 20th of June to Friday 4th of July.
Nine TAG members exhibiting in Tenby. Many thanks to Margaret Welsh and John Faulkner who run Art Matters for hanging the work really well.
Formed in the late 1990′s, the Teifi Artists Group work in a wide variety of media and techniques. Membership is by invitation and the group is kept small and local. The artists meet on a bi-monthly basis, providing a mutually supportive network for encouragement, constructive criticism, and the exchange of information. The group shares common aims and acts as a forum for innovative ideas.
This exciting new TAG exhibition at Art Matters in Tenby runs through the whole month of April 2014, and offers a special opportunity to see how these nine individual artists express themselves, each with their own unique voice.
Andie Clay, Wendy Evans, Helen Gillam, Glenn Ibbitson, Carole King, Nigel Pugh, Peter Rossiter, Philippa Sibert, Diane Walkey.
Last Friday I met up with Sharon and Chris from Art Moves of Chelsea, the Specialist Art Couriers outside the RWA (Royal West of England Academy) in Clifton, Bristol. They have taken my four paintings up to London for the SWA (Society of Women Artists) 153rd Exhibition at The Mall Galleries.
They will carefully keep my paintings in storage until the Receiving Days towards the end of April.
The exhibition will be opened by HRH Princess Michael of Kent, patron of the SWA, on Wednesday 25th June at about 10.30am. Please contact me if you would like an invitation which gives two people free entry to the Private View. It is always a very vibrant, packed affair so best to arrive early in order to get a chance to see the paintings and sculpture properly.
Please note that I shall be in London for a week while the exhibition is on so please contact me if you want to meet up for a coffee and chat, it would be good to see you.
Exhibition open: Thursday 26 June to 5 July 10am to 5pm daily, closing at 3pm on 5 July.
