Excited to have received my sketchbook from Brooklyn Art Library yesterday. Looking forward to enjoying filling it in. Lots of ideas in my head but see where my pencil takes me…
Just to explain the background, Brooklyn Art Library is a non profit art organisation that has been completely funded by participation since 2006. The Brooklyn Art Library crew say
“By buying a sketchbook, you have helped us ensure that we are keeping our physical library space free and open to the public as well as our digital library accessible world wide. Your book will be joining our collection of 50,000 artists books from 130 different countries. This project is meant to encourage creative storytelling, within a global community.”

Exhibition now open.
Following the postponement of showing the two Operation Portrait films on BBC’s The One Show, the new date that is again pencilled in is Wednesday the 11th of February. Photographs above show Alan Amis posing for me in the Goat Street Gallery, St Davids for Operation Portrait.

One of my three new paintings that I am submitting to the Queens Hall Gallery in Narberth for their Winter Open Exhibition. This painting entitled “Yang 88 Style” is one of a series I have been working on that brings together my painting and my daily practice of Tai Chi.

Pleased to be invited to take part in filming yesterday for a future programme of BBC’s The One Show about Grahame Hurd-Wood’s Portrait Project to portray every resident in St Davids. Eleven artists working in The Goat Street Gallery, St Davids produced all these portraits in a six hour session on Thursday 7th August. Great day, great company, great art mixed with lots of sunshine and amazing views of the Cathedral. Keep an eye on my Blog – I’ll update as soon as I know time and date of broadcast.
