Exhibition now open.
In 2011 I was thrilled to receive the St Cuthberts Mill Award from Princess Michael of Kent. This was before I was elected to full membership of The Society of Women Artists in 2012.
In 2015 my painting ‘Blues Saxophonist’ won the Frank Herring Easel Award.
Really pleased to have four paintings selected this year. Unfortunately the exhibition is not able to go ahead at the Mall Galleries due to the current Covid-19 situation.
The Society of Women Artists thank the Mall staff for all their support and look forward to showing there next year with a stronger show than ever.
The exhibition will be open online from Tuesday 22nd September until Wednesday 30th December 2020.
Annual Open Exhibition at The Mall Galleries London. Entries accepted from both members and non-members.
In William MacKenzie’s art blog he wrote a very interesting feature on the SWA annual exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London. Click on the link below to see the full post.
This is what he wrote about my painting titled Reach. ”Andie Clay’s ’Reach’ is done in the frustratingly unhelpfully described “mixed media”. I would like to know what. There is some acrylic in there maybe. I like the movement in this piece with the bird like marks exploding out of the monstrous shape. Energetic piece.”
Pleased to have three of my mixed media paintings selected for the 155th annual exhibition of the Society of Women Artists at The Mall Galleries London.
Thrilled to receive the good news from Sue Jelley, President of the SWA that my painting ‘Blues Saxophonist’ has won the Frank Herring Easel Award, the prize being the easel shown in the photo above
Renowned Art blogger Katherine Tyrrell visited this years SWA exhibition and wrote a comprehensive review, see link below: http://makingamark.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/Review-Society-of-Women-Artists-Annual-Exhibition.html#more
