Latest Paintings of Musicians on exhibition in Cardigan
I have just delivered 7 recent paintings of music and musicians to Custom House Gallery in Cardigan. They include paintings portraying award winning percussionist Evelyn Glennie playing marimba, to Jan Garbarek the acclaimed saxophonist. The music conductor David Lawrence is portrayed in 3 vibrant paintings. All my paintings have their source in quick biro drawings I make from life whilst attending rehearsals, masterclasses and performances. These drawings provide the inspiration for the paintings I then work on when back in my studio. Have a look at the short video on my website under Selected Media-Video.
I will be exhibiting in the following art exhibitions in 2014. More dates will be listed as they become available so keep checking my Blog for all the latest information.

A visit on the last day by a group of Swansea art students brought this comment from their tutor :
“Fab exhibition of line, colour and abstract expression. Was enjoyed by all students visiting this morning. Provoked many conversations and inspired all the students to explore, experiment and to be freer in their application of lines, colour and compositions. A huge thank you.” TF
Nick and Vicky Pudsey spent the day with me in the exhibition shooting lots of film to be edited for future videos which will appear on this website in due course. This included being interviewed by the gallery manager Mark Heycock.
