BBC The One Show screening in January 2015

One Show Collage 19.12 copy

Transmission dates are pencilled in for Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th of January, 2015 but are subject to change. One film features Grahame Hurd-Wood and his ongoing project painting portraits of every resident in St Davids, Pembrokeshire. The second film shows myself and eleven other artists rising to the challenge of drawing as many portraits as we could in one day. This took place on a lovely sunny day at The Goat Street Gallery, which overlooks St Davids Cathedral, on the 7th of August 2014.

Lucy and I are one year old today!

Lucy and Me one year oldFor those of you who’ve been noticing over the last twelve months that I have gradually become computer literate, let me introduce you to Lucy who is my PA, and a real star. Without her help I would still be floundering, whereas now my confidence grows daily, thank you Lucy.

Lucy is also an illustrator and artist, you can find examples of her work at www.lucy-burns.com

Young Musician of Dyfed is a competition for instrumentalists under the age of 19 years that offers all competitors an individual masterclass with some of the country’s leading players. I enjoyed drawing during the masterclasses where Steve Bingham, international violinist and Andrew Wilson-Dickson, composer and keyboard player, gave interesting insights into improving their understanding and performance skills. The three musicians shown above were amongst those selected for the final on Saturday the 25th April at Rhosygilwen. www.ymmd.org.uk
